This generation no longer will settle for the norm, change lives through work, and adapt to new technologies to succeed.

The survey from Samsung consulted more than 5,000 people from France, Germany, Korea, the UK, and the US and exemplifies that being an entrepreneur should feature on the future of Gen Z. Close to half of full-time Gen Z employees also report that their jobs aren’t great, which has rejuvenated interest in side hustles. Indeed, a convincing 73% are considering launching their own ventures, with many already actively pursuing opportunities in the past year.

This change is particularly impressive considering the challenges young professionals face. Major obstacles to starting a side hustle include having strapped on time, but Gen Z is leveraging AI to overcome that.

The study indicates that 69% of Gen Z side hustlers are more likely to depend on AI as the resource that helps them with their work-related tasks as compared to the global average at 62%. In fact, over 40% of young entrepreneurs need PCs to really manage side hustles efficiently while a jaw-dropping 83% in any case feel the need for connections among various devices to be seamless.
